Why Bountiful cases come to us

We’re appointed nearby.

Davis County is one of our four daily routes, and Bountiful is a straight run up I-15 from our Murray office, so it is covered every business day, along with North Salt Lake and Layton.

We know the ground.

Main Street and Orchard Drive, the bench neighborhoods below the temple, Val Verda, and West Bountiful next door.

We know the court.

Returns are accepted at the Second District Court on South Main in Bountiful, at the Davis County courthouse in Farmington, and at every Utah state court. Add court filing for $20 and we walk it in. See the full list of Wasatch Front cities we serve.

Local tips

Bountiful serves: bench streets and long drives

The neighborhoods climbing the east bench have steep, winding streets and homes set well back from the road. If the house is hard to see from the street, a description or a landmark (“brick house at the end of the cul-de-sac”) saves time. So does telling us whether there’s a dog or a locked gate.

West of I-15, West Bountiful and Woods Cross mix homes with industrial employers that run controlled entrances. A recipient who works behind a security gate is usually easier to serve at home. When you only have the workplace, give us the shift, and we’ll try at the start or end of it.

Many Bountiful recipients are retired or work from home, so daytime attempts often succeed. If you know someone is away during the day, say so, and we’ll plan an evening attempt.

Proof

See when and where service was attempted.

Every service attempt of your documents are logged in an independent third-party system. The GPS coordinates, date, and time are captured automatically by the server's mobile device at the moment of the attempt — not typed in afterwards, and the GPS record cannot be edited after the fact. This data exists if service is ever questioned.

No. Bountiful is a straight run up I-15 from our Murray office and part of our daily Davis County route, so there’s no mileage and no attempt fee.

Which courts take Bountiful cases?

Your Return of Service goes back to whichever court your case is in. For Bountiful matters that is usually the Second District Court at 805 S Main in Bountiful or the Davis County courthouse in Farmington, with small claims and city cases handled by the justice court. The court decides whether service met the applicable requirements. Upload any court-specific return form or instructions with your papers.
